US Military hit by virus
Wired has reported that US drones Predator and Reaper have become affected by a software virus. The mysterious virus, a keylogging bug which makes a record of every keystroke, has been removed several times by the military, but it keeps returning.
One source was quote as saying "We keep wiping it off, and it keeps coming back. We think it's benign, but we just don't know."
It is unknown how the virus surfaced on the Predator and Reaper drones, but security specialists have confirmed that the virus has been accessing both classified and un-classified machines.
The US army's malware detecting software HBSS detected the virus, but has been unable to remove it effectively.
